Wind Farm features five sustainable, self-powered pinwheels that were installed in Peekskill, NY. The project was one of five selected artist submissions for Enlighten Peekskill, which seeks to illuminate the walk from train station to the Peekskill's city center with illuminated artworks.

Wind Farm was constructed of 22g. stainless steel for the blades, which were folded to mimic the curves found in paper pinwheels. LEDs are integrated within the blades, to allow for evening illumination. As the wind blows, the pinwheel collect the energy with wind turbine generators incorporated into each unit, allowing the LEDs to turn on. Additional solar panels are hidden on the top surface of the turbine housing, to collect energy on the not so windy days. The LEDs are controlled by a remote, allowing the city to manage how they are illuminated.

Each pinwheel is 5.5 feet in diameter, is 5' from front to back and rises into the air between 17' and 20'. They are securely mounted to a steel column that is attached to footer set into the ground.
